Back in Secondary School, I always excelled in my mathematics and had interests in engineering which was why I decided to pursue a diploma in Civil Engineering with Singapore Polytechnic. Upon receiving my diploma, I decided to continue pursuing a degree in the same field offered by Singapore Institute of Technology. As an aspiring Civil Engineer, it is interesting to learn about the amount of material required to prevent a building from collapsing, how to weather buildings from external factors like heat, rain, wind, weight and also the amount of metal and concrete needed for different parts of the buildings to withstand additional weight.
